Custom Rodeo and Western Event Shirts in Utah by Graffiti Wear

Custom shirts for rodeos, western events and county fairs

A rodeo shirt is more than event swag. It is a memory of the dust, the crowd, the announcer and the eight seconds everybody held their breath for. Contestants keep them, families collect them year after year and local fans wear them all over town. If your event deserves a following, your shirt should look the part.

We're a Utah company built around original art, and that shows up in every custom job. Western art is right in our wheelhouse. We even hand-paint custom cowboy boots, so we know how to give a rodeo design real grit and personality. We help rodeo committees, county fairs, youth rodeo clubs, roping events, barrel racing series and western festivals build apparel people actually want.

What rodeo and western events order

Event tees

The anchor of every rodeo merch table. A tee with the event name, year and a bold piece of western art sells to contestants, fans and families. Put a smaller logo on the front and a big illustration across the back for maximum impact.

Committee and volunteer shirts

Rodeos run on volunteers. Gate crews, ticket takers, arena help and parking teams all need to be easy to spot. A bright volunteer shirt with "Rodeo Committee" or "Arena Crew" on the back keeps things organized and makes your people feel appreciated.

Contestant shirts

Give contestants a shirt as part of their entry, or sell them at the secretary's office. Many events list the year's champions or the event categories on the back.

Hoodies and crewnecks

Evening performances get cold, especially at fall rodeos and high-elevation venues. A hoodie with your event art is a natural seller once the sun goes down.

Snapback hats

Not every fan wears a cowboy hat to the rodeo. Our snapbacks with patches give everyone a way to rep the event, and they are a strong item on the merch table.

Royalty and queen pageant gear

Rodeo royalty programs are a big deal. Matching shirts or crewnecks for queen contestants and their support crews look great at grand entries, parades and appearances.

Western design ideas

Rodeo art should feel like it belongs in the arena. Some directions that work:

  • Bronc and bull illustrations. A rider mid-buck drawn in a bold, hand-made style is a classic for a reason.
  • Vintage poster lettering. Old-school western type and wood-cut style art give the shirt a timeless feel.
  • Brand marks and rope borders. Ranch brands, lariat frames and horseshoes make great design elements.
  • Desert and mountain backdrops. Utah red rock, juniper trees or a mountain skyline behind a rider grounds the shirt in place.
  • Sponsor backs. Rodeos rely on local sponsors. A sponsor list on the back is a great thank-you.
  • Year-over-year collectibles. Keep the layout the same and change the color and art each year so fans collect the full set.

Design help is included. Send your logo, sponsors and ideas, and we'll build the art. You approve a digital proof before printing.

How many shirts to order

Our minimum is 24 pieces per design. Sizes and colors can be mixed within those 24, so you can cover a wide range of sizes without buying extra of one size.

For a merch table, look at past attendance and past sales if you have them. Order heavier in adult medium, large and XL. Kids are some of the biggest rodeo fans out there, so ask about youth sizes in your quote. For volunteers and committee members, count your roster and add a few for late helpers.

Many events order one main event design to sell and a separate volunteer design in a different color. Each design needs its own 24-piece minimum.

Pricing for rodeo apparel

Custom tees start at $16 each. Your price depends on the garment, the number of colors, the print locations and the quantity. Bigger orders get better per-piece pricing, which gives your committee more margin on every shirt sold. A sponsor can also cover the cost of volunteer shirts in exchange for a spot on the back.

Sizing tips for western crowds

  • Rodeo crowds cover every age, so plan a wide size run.
  • Contestants often want a fitted tee that tucks cleanly into jeans.
  • Hoodies get sized up for wearing over a pearl-snap shirt or a vest.
  • Track which sizes sell out at your event and adjust next year.

Easy reorders for annual events

Rodeos and fairs come back every year. We keep your designs on file, so next year's shirt is a quick update. Business clients can also get a private ordering page on graffitiwearclothing.com. Log in, add your sizes and colors, pay with a card, and we ship it where you say. That is handy for rodeo associations that run a series of events in different towns.

If you buy shirts to resell at the merch table, send a Utah TC-721 sales tax exemption certificate and we'll remove tax from your account.

Western events across Utah

Utah has deep rodeo roots. Southern Utah towns like St. George, Hurricane, Washington and Cedar City host rodeos and western heritage events that pull crowds from across the region. Northern Utah has big summer rodeos in Ogden, Logan and the Salt Lake Valley, plus county fairs and roping events in small towns everywhere in between. High school and youth rodeo clubs travel the whole state.

We serve organizers across Utah and ship anywhere in the US. We'll give you a timeline with your quote, so you can plan around your event date.
