Restaurant shirts with real flavor
Your food has personality. Your staff shirts should too. Guests notice when the crew looks put together, and they remember a restaurant that has its own look from the host stand to the kitchen pass.
Graffiti Wear is a Utah apparel brand rooted in original art from muralists, painters and illustrators. We help restaurants turn their name, their menu and their vibe into shirts the team is proud to wear and merch guests want to take home.
From taco joints in West Valley to bistros in Park City, family diners in Logan and pizza shops in Cedar City, we make shirts for Utah restaurants of every size.
Front of house vs. back of house
One shirt rarely fits every role. Think about who's wearing it and what their shift looks like.
Servers and hosts
These are the faces of your restaurant. A clean front print, like a small logo on the chest, keeps things polished. Pick a color that matches your dining room. Warm tones for a cozy café feel, black for an upscale room, bright colors for a fun family spot.
Kitchen crew
Line cooks, dishwashers and prep cooks work hot and messy. Dark tees hide sauce stains. Short sleeves keep forearms clear. A bold back print gives the kitchen its own identity, something like "Back of House" or a cartoon of your head chef's favorite knife.
Managers and shift leads
Give leads a different color or a long sleeve version of the same design. Staff and guests can find the person in charge at a glance.
Catering and delivery
If your team caters events or runs food to offices, branded apparel turns every drop-off into an introduction. Hoodies and long sleeves work well for crews loading vans on cold mornings in Ogden or Logan.
Merch ideas guests will buy
Restaurant merch works best when it feels like a souvenir, not an ad. Some ideas that land:
- Your famous dish as art. The burger, the ramen bowl, the green chile, the cinnamon roll the size of a plate. Illustrated with attitude.
- Menu humor. A line from your menu, a running joke with regulars or the thing everyone asks for that isn't on the menu.
- Hometown roots. Founded in Provo. Since day one in Sandy. Pride in your corner of Utah.
- Hats with patches. A snapback with your logo patch is an easy grab at the register.
- Crop tops and tanks. Great for summer patios and a younger crowd.
Set a few pieces by the host stand or near the register. When guests are full and happy, they're in a buying mood.
We'll help with the design
You don't need a designer on staff. Design help is included with every custom order. Send your logo, menu, photos of the space or just a description of what you want. Our team builds the artwork and sends you a digital proof. Nothing prints until you approve it.
Good design questions to think about before you reach out:
- Is this shirt for staff, for sale, or both?
- Do you want the logo on the front, a big graphic on the back, or both?
- What colors match your brand and your dining room?
- Is there a dish, phrase or character that already defines you?
Pricing and order size
Custom tees start at $16 each. The minimum is 24 pieces per design, and you can mix sizes and colors within that 24. So a small crew can each get a couple of shirts in their own size and reach the minimum together.
Pricing depends on:
- The garment (tee, long sleeve, hoodie, crop top, tank)
- Number of colors in the print
- Number of print locations (front, back, sleeve)
- Total quantity
Bigger orders get better per-piece pricing. Combining a staff run with a merch run of the same design is an easy way to bring the price down for both.
Uniform tips from the floor
Restaurants have high staff turnover, and that's normal. Plan for it.
- Order extras in common sizes. Keep a box of mediums and larges in the office for new hires.
- Give each person at least two shirts. One on, one in the wash.
- Collect sizes on a sign-up sheet. Post it by the time clock and let your team fill it in before you order.
- Think about climate. St. George and Hurricane kitchens run hot most of the year. Lightweight tees and tanks make sense there. Mountain towns may want long sleeves for patio staff.
Private ordering page for your restaurant
Once your design is set, we can create a private ordering page for your business on graffitiwearclothing.com. Your manager logs in, enters quantities by size and color, pays by card and ships it straight to the restaurant. Designs are kept on file, so reordering takes minutes.
Multiple locations? Each one can order for itself from the same page and get the same look. No more mismatched shirts from one store to the next.
Selling shirts at the register
If you buy merch to resell, send us a Utah TC-721 sales tax exemption certificate and we'll remove tax from your account.
Restaurant merch can bring in a little extra income and help offset the cost of your staff shirts. Anniversaries, grand openings, new menu launches and local festivals are great moments to drop a fresh design.
